Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Michael Paul Leppert, known as Mike to everyone he met and affectionately referred to as Uncle Mikey by his nieces and nephews, passed away on August 10, 2024, after a brief illness, at his home in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. He was born on June 12, 1946, in Trenton, NJ. He moved to Florida when he was 6 months old where he continued living as he enjoyed the warm and rainy weather of South Florida.

In his early years, Mike worked on fishing boats, sparking a deep connection to the ocean that he cherished throughout his life. Following his honorable service in the U.S. Army, he transitioned to a career in truck driving until his well-deserved retirement six years ago.

A man of humor and warmth, Mike was known for his quick wit and jovial demeanor, always ready with a joke to brighten those around him. His jovial nature endeared him to everyone he encountered, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mike's fondness for family and the sea shaped his most treasured memories. His love for the Tampa Bay Rays and sports in general brought him great pleasure.

During his time in the Army, while attached to the Big Red One, Mike's bravery and dedication were exemplified, earning him a Bronze Star for his meritorious service during his tour in Vietnam.

Mike Leppert is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Roberta (Bobbie) Leppert, and sons, Michael, David, and Dustin, as well as his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. To his loving family and friends, his memory will forever live on.

May he rest in eternal peace, his spirit forever sailing the seas he loved, and his laughter forever echoing in the hearts of those who held him dear.
