It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rema. Rema was a truly selfless and compassionate individual who dedicated her life to helping others. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was providing financial assistance, offering emotional support, or simply lending a listening ear. Rema's acts of kindness were not motivated by any desire for recognition or reward; she simply did what she could to make the world a better place.
And sewing? Many of us fondly remember the numerous occasions when she would travel long distances (or even take flights) to procure the ideal fabric for someone's attire. Whether it was for proms, work events, or birthdays, Rema derived immense satisfaction from assisting others in presenting their best selves for any occasion.
Regarding the topic of dedication, Rema exemplified exceptional commitment as a Spirit Airlines team member. Throughout her remarkable 19-year tenure, she consistently demonstrated her unwavering dedication to her role. Rema possessed an extensive knowledge of the company's history, serving as a valuable resource for historical data and contractual information. Her expertise and experience made her an invaluable asset to the organization, and her contributions were highly regarded by her colleagues.
She also worked hard to have fun. Rema would quickly make a dress the night before an event and show up like she had been planning it for months. As an avid traveler, Rema would always be on a plane every month.
Rema made space in the world for her beloved children, Kimani and Steven, as well as her bonus daughter, Cheyenne. She was also a cherished grandmother to two granddaughters. Rema will be deeply missed by her siblings, Voidrey, Ava, Vernon, and Delroy, as well as her many friends. We will always remember her spirit and continue to honor her memory.
